Medical Front Office (PT- Greenfield Office)

This position is part time ( 15 – 20 hours per week) for our new Greenfield office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring patients are checked in properly by collecting information from them and entering it into the computer system
  • Scheduling follow up tests and appointments for patients
  • Collect forms and co-pays
  • Assisting with medical records- scanning, copying and filing
  • Treating each patient with the utmost courtesy and respect

 Position Requirements

We are seeking candidates with:

  • High school diploma or obtained a GED
  • Three years of experience in this type of role in a physician’s office
  • Excellent communication skills and genuine caring for others

LPN (FT- Carmel & Greenfield Offices)

We are seeking an experienced LPN to work with our surgeon and staff in our Carmel and Greenfield locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists physician with the patient visits
  • Answers patient care questions by phone and in person.  Phones pharmacies to authorize prescriptions and returns patients phone calls with the physician’s recommendations for their care. Records and tracks all referrals
  • Document all interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed or prescribed, hospital data in the electronic medical record
  • Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physicians’ advice and instructions
  • Coordinate patient care by triaging patient phone calls regarding urgency of appointments, scheduling procedures and hospital admissions.

Facilities Billing Manager (Carmel Office)

We are seeking candidates for a newly created Facilities Billing Manager to lead the team responsible for surgery center and hospital billing and  collections.  Major responsibilities will be:

  • Lead and coach a team of billing reps to ensure proper and full reimbursement from carriers and patient payments.
  • Oversee all coding, billing, submissions, appeals, follow up and account receivables.
  • Establish systems and processes to optimize staff productivity with patients on collection accounts and arranging payment plans, and with follow up on aging accounts receivable, including researching denial codes and refiling corrected claims.
  • Identify and develop improvements to existing processes.
  • Work with other departments to obtain client information needed to process claims.
  • Ensure that all departments are working efficiently and are compliant with all Federal and State regulations, guidelines and requirements.
  • Continuously analyze any trend that may impact our billing efforts and be proactive on keeping the department in line with these changes.
  • Develop and maintain policies.

We are seeking experienced candidates with:

  • 5-10 years of leadership of facilities billing teams
  • Outstanding knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding, including use of modifiers and durable medical equipment
  • Knowledge of insurance carriers, verification, benefits, referrals
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records systems;  Cerner preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Coding certification

Responsibilities

    • Performs follow-up activities on all accounts for surgery center and hospital to ensure prompt payment
    • Identifies coding or billing problems from EOBs and works to correct the errors in a timely manner
    • Completes filing and follow-up on insurance denials to obtain reimbursement
    • Achieving and maintaining A/R days at “best in class” standards
    • Reduction and maintenance of bad debt at established goals
    • On site only, remote access is not possible

Position Requirements

    • Minimum 2 years of facilities billing experience, including: Claims submission; Charge entry; Payment posting; and Appeals process
    • Familiarity with ICD-10 PCS, DRG
    • Prior experience with EMR System, Microsoft Office, Insurance Portals, electronic claim submission and A/R reporting;
