Jodi Hettermann Blume, PA-C, is a physician assistant with Indiana Spine Group. She specializes in the care and treatment of patients with spinal diseases and disorders. Ms. Hettermann Blume works under the supervision of Kenneth Renkens, M.D., F.A.C.S. As part of her comprehensive responsibilities, Ms. Hettermann conducts physical examinations, orders and interprets tests, counsels patients on preventive health care, assists physicians in surgery and helps patients with preoperative and postoperative care in both the hospital and office setting. Additionally, Ms. Hettermann lectures on spine related topics. Ms. Hettermann also assists Dr. Renkens with many spinal related research projects and is a sub-investigator in IRB studies. Examples of study areas in which she has participated in include surgical hemostasis, and the evaluation of cervical discs for the treatment of degenerative disc disease.
