Rick C. Sasso MD, Indiana Spine Group, served as a faculty member at the annual meeting, Spine Base to Summit 2017, in Beaver Creek, Colorado in late January..

Dr. Sasso was invited to give lectures on current techniques for the surgical treatment of cervical stenosis causing myelopathy, avoidance of complications in anterior cervical spine exposures, and the proper surgical strategies for cervical deformities.

He also debated the appropriate surgical treatment of cervical fracture/dislocations and Type II odontoid fractures in the elderly

The conference, organized by BroadWater, LLC was held  at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa, for  orthopaedic and neurological surgeons, fellows, and residents who specialize in spine surgery practices and procedures.
